Guide - Litter Planning

What RFD breeders comply with and how the litter sequence in RFD eV is organized to breed healthy and high quality pedigree dogs?

Breeders get in touch early with the RFD Studbook and clarify some questions in advance. Is the legal breeding age for your pedigree dog reached or possibly exceeded? Are all forms, notes and documents available? Are all breed-typical examinations completed and are GRSK-certified? Are all findings available and have these been completed with the best results?

Well then it can start now!

The breeding permission: For the breeding admission examination (ZZP) please register in the breeding book office. A commissioned breed warden, who knows your dog breed exactly, comes to your home, there is your dog in his environment and behaves like that. His natural nature, his nature, his movement can be considered optimally. Imagine the ZZP as a judge's assessment at an exhibition. Only at your home, with much more time and peace. For this he is measured and taken very specifically "under the microscope". Here you can already find out what criteria you should pay attention to when choosing the suitable stud dog for your bitch. For example, teeth, size, weight, building, pigmentation, examination results, etc. Because our breeding goal is: We want to preserve our breed, improve characteristics, but never worsen. All that the bitch lacks in race characteristics, the male should be able to compensate! During the ZZP, the kennel will be visited at the same time to ensure that optimal breeding conditions are guaranteed. If you have any questions, the knowledgeable and experienced breed warden will gladly assist you.
All examination findings and the pedigree of the dog are given to the breed warden in copy. You will now receive the form for the cover certificate (integrated in the throwing license). Deckschein: You have found the suitable stud dog and compared his pedigree with your bitch and checked for "duplications" (inbreeding). A report and the release of the cover act will be approved by the studbook office after verification. This approval is always required. Note: You have all examination results and breeding permission of the dog reviewed and all documents including the pedigree have been given in copy. A cover contract is closed. The cover act was completed. Now please fill out the cover slip carefully and have it signed by the stud dog owner. Please send all documents of the dog and the cover slip in copy to the breeding book office. The original remains with the breeder!
The cover slip accompanies and documents the entire litter!
The responsible breed warden supports the breeders when completing the form and checks the information for completeness.

Transparency from the beginning. The studbook office is always kept up to date by breeders via the responsible breed warden.

Litter Announcement: The litter must be reported immediately by telephone to the office. The Zuchtbuchamt determines the responsible breed warden, who would like to support you with his experience. Now an appointment for the throw inspection is agreed. Litter tour: Within the first week of life, the litter will be inspected and documented with the bitch of Mrs. Lehmann or one of her commissioned breeding wardens. The breed warden will assist you in completing the throw registration form. There, the names of the puppies are entered. A copy and the original pedigree are registered in the studbook office and saved to prepare the puppies' pedigrees. Litter acceptance: The litter acceptance takes place after arrangement in the 7th / 8th week of life of the puppies.
To do this, all puppies must be marked with a microchip either by the breed warden or the veterinarian in order to record the uniqueness in the documentation. All data on the deworming of the puppies and the mother dog must be submitted for the litter acceptance. On the acceptance protocol each puppy is listed individually and the decrease is documented. After the litter acceptance, the pedigree of the puppies will be created in the studbook office, as long as all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the processing. Yes and now the suitcases can be packed. Her little ones are allowed to move to their new home. This certified process shows you that as a breeder you have to meet some requirements so that you can get an RFD pedigree for your puppies.

These pedigrees ensure puppy buyers:
